Thomas, who is a resident of Bucks County, has traveled extensively throughout most of the United States, backpacking and hiking. He photographed and sketched much of what he saw and has used this material to enrich his understanding and interpretation of the arts.Dean Thomas attended Glassboro College of New Jersey (now Rowan College). Although his primary medium is oil, he has worked with watercolors, acrylics, and even printmaking.
