Dyerstown Road, George Booz
Signed Ltd Edition Print (18x22.75), $95

George Booz loved the history of the early immigrants to his native Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In his paintings of Dyerstown Road he captures the realism and nostalgia of a hamlet which today is little more than a cluster of old stone houses.

John Dyer, an English Quaker and a miller, settled here in 1718. His mill was built in 1720; it is said to have furnished flour to George Washington's troops on their march from Valley Forge to New Jersey in 1778.
