"The primary purpose of my efforts as a painter is to paint so that there is an effective balance of color, light, and shadow, creating a strong atmospheric element in my paintings." -Jackie Walker Jackie studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, the Pennsylvania Academy of Art in Philadelphia, and the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia. Jackie has studied with nationally known artists including Coulter Watt, Kenn Backhaus, and Bob Rohm. With a strong natural ability, Ms. Walker has painted “plein air” in the Bucks County countryside as well as in Europe and has created primarily portraits and figure paintings. As a member of the Doylestown Art League, she has won numerous awards, the latest for “First in Oils” and honorable mention for “Amber” a figure painting. She is also a member of the Oil Painters of America.
