Born 1956, Bucks County, Pennsylvania artist, Jas Szygiel (yäsh – she/gel),
graduate of Hussian School of Art and Arcadia University (BFA). For the last
thirty years Jas’ work has been exhibited in many community and regional art
centers as well as local and international art competitions. Jas has taught
at Hussian School of Art and as an adjunct professor at Arcadia University
in the Fine Arts Department. Jas is also owner of DesignArt Incorporated
which provides art and design services to a wide variety of clients. Jas has
won numerous awards for his designs and paintings both locally and
nationally. While working as an illustrator and artist Mr. Szygiel’s
paintings and illustrations have been published by a wide variety of book
and magazine publishers and distributed worldwide. Jas is currently
developing a series of paintings, “The Bucks County Series”. This series has
led to paintings of Montgomery and Chester County, Hunterdon County, and
Coastal New Jersey. Originals in watercolor and oil and limited edition
prints are featured in area galleries. Jas’ talents have been commissioned
by private and corporate clients for painting, design and book publishing.
Jas resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
